Access arrangements
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
What are access arrangements?
Access arrangements are extra support during the exam for candidates who need it. For example: extra time, use of a computer, or supervised rest breaks. They are designed to give candidates fair access to the exam without changing what is being assessed.
Will my request automatically be approved?
No. Requesting an arrangement does not mean it will be granted. All requests are reviewed by The Bridge Exam Centre, and arrangements are only confirmed once approved by Cambridge. Please apply well before the deadline. Access arrangements have an earlier deadline than standard entries.
What evidence do I need to provide?
If you request an arrangement, you must upload supporting evidence. The supporting documents must:
Be based on evidence and clearly explain how the condition affects the candidate in examinations
Give specific recommendations for the exam access arrangements needed
Be written in English and dated within four years of the exam date
Be verified, signed and dated by a suitable professional, stating their relevant qualifications
Where relevant, include scores from psychometric assessments taken within four years of the exam series
Have any translated supporting evidence signed by a translator
How to request an access arrangement?
When you reach the subjects step in the registration tool, add the access arrangement(s) you need to your basket alongside your exam entries.
On the Candidate step, answer "Yes" to "Exam access arrangements required?".
Upload your supporting evidence (as described above).
Complete and submit your registration before the access arrangements deadline
What access arrangements can I request?
We currently directly support users registering for extra time, computer use, and supervised rest breaks. However, if you require a different access arrangement not listed here, please get in contact with us. You'll find the contact info below.
