Registering for your Cambridge exams with The Bridge Mallorca is done entirely online, through our registration tool. This page walks you through everything: what to prepare before you start, the steps involved, and what happens after you submit. Having your documents ready will make the process quick and smooth.
Documents to prepare
Have these ready as clear photos or scans (JPG or PDF) before you open the tool, so you don't have to stop halfway:
- Photo ID for the candidate: A passport or national ID card. This is the same ID the candidate must bring on every exam day, so make sure the details match.
- A recent passport-style photo of the candidate. Taken against a plain, light-coloured background, containing no other objects or people. It should be taken looking straight at the camera and with nothing covering the face. It can be taken using a phone camera.
- A photo of your calculator you intend to use on the exam: if you're entering any subject that allows a calculator (e.g. Maths and the sciences). The photo must clearly show the make and model.
- Statement of Results: Only if you are retaking a subject or carrying forward a previous result. You'll need to upload the official results document for each of those subjects.
- Access arrangements evidence: Only if the candidate needs access arrangements (e.g. extra time). You'll need to upload supporting documentation, such as a psychologist's report. Check the access arrangements section.
You'll also need the candidate's and the payer's details to hand: full legal name (exactly as on the ID), date of birth, contact email(s) and address.
Steps involved
The registration tool guides you through a short series of steps. Here's what each one covers:
1. Choose your subjects: Browse the subject list, select the qualification level (IGCSE, GCSE, AS or A Level) and the exam options you need, and add them to your basket. If you are interested in sitting an exam that doesn't appear in the list, please get in contact with us. You will find the contact information below.
2. Candidate details: The candidate's personal information, plus uploads of the ID, photo and (if needed) calculator photo and access-arrangements evidence.
3. Parent / guardian details: Contact details for the parent or guardian (where applicable).
4. Exam entries: Confirm the subjects in your basket. For any retakes or carried-forward results, upload the Statement of Results.
5. Cambridge consent: Read and agree to Cambridge's data-protection and consent terms.
6. Deadlines & fees: Acknowledge the registration deadlines and fee terms.
7. Exam-day information: Important information about attendance, what to bring, and exam-room rules.
8. Payment details: Confirm who is paying and the billing address.
9. Review & submit: Check everything and submit your pre-registration
10. Submit payment confirmation: You will receive an email with payment details. Once you pay the required amount, you'll need to upload a payment proof document (the email explains how).
Notice: The registration with cambridge will not start until payment has been received. Remember to do so before the deadline
A-level specific information
A full Cambridge International A Level is made up of AS components and A2 components. You can complete both in one go, or spread them across two exam series. When you register, you choose one of three routes:
Linear
Sit all the AS and A2 components together in a single exam series. This is the standard route if you are taking the whole A Level at once.
Staged
Take the AS Level in one series, then in a later series (within 13 months) sit only the A2 components and carry forward your earlier AS result. Cambridge combines your carried-forward AS marks with your new A2 marks to produce the final A Level grade. This is useful if you completed AS Level previously and only want to finish the second half.
Best of Both
Sit all the AS and A2 components in your final series. Cambridge automatically looks at your AS marks from both the earlier series and the current one, and uses whichever set gives you the highest A Level grade. In effect your previous AS result is protected, so retaking the AS papers can only help you, never lower your grade.
What "carry forward" means
Carrying forward simply means reusing a previous AS Level result towards your A Level instead of sitting those papers again. A few rules apply:
The AS result must be recent. It can only be carried forward within 13 months of
the first time you sat the AS Level.
Within that window, an AS result can be carried forward up to twice.
If you have more than one eligible AS result, Cambridge uses the one that produces
the best A Level grade.
If you are carrying forward an AS result or retaking components, you will be asked to upload your Statement of Results for those subjects during registration. This lets us make the correct type of entry for you. If you are not sure which route applies to your situation, contact us before you register and we will help you choose.
